 | Denise AndersonDenise is Director of WPUK. After an early career in banking, she moved on to a career teaching English in Spain where she stayed for 5 years. On her return she set up a business teaching French and Spanish to primary school children and also to businesses. In 2001 she set up a new language school where all the students did programmes involving work placements. The school gained British Council accreditation in 2005. Denise left the school in 2006 to start WPUK. Denise enjoys walking her dog, reading and entertaining. |
Jo CurtisJo is the Administrator at WPUK and joined in 2010. She started her working life in London selling silk ties and travelled all over the world with her job. In 2002 Jo left the corporate world to start a family and moved to the country where she grew up. Jo enjoys looking after her 3 children, walking the dogs and her busy social life. |

Liz DurrantLiz has recently joined Work Placements UK as a Host Family Organiser, and will work alongside Madeleine. Liz used to work in an admin role in a Language school and has worked in a school, as a teaching assistant, and in a library where she still works part-time. Liz has 3 teenage children and enjoys cooking for friends, the cinema and walking her dog. |

Madeleine GilbartMadeleine has worked as the Host Family Organiser for WPUK for a number of years. She has hosted students in her own home, so understands the issues first hand. Madeleine worked for the BBC and the Open University before taking early retirement in 2005, and now works part time with WPUK and enjoys traveling, genealogy, entertaining friends and looking after her mother in law. |
